Club members and non-members all get a chance to participate in these fun shootout events. Be sure to register by Jan. 27th to ensure a place and get your free t-shirt.

Check-in starts at 8:30am and a mandatory safety meeting will be held before the shootout. More details will be included in your email after registration is open.

Rules & Regulations
- All participants MUST sign in at the table when you arrive;
- Non-CHO members may shoot, but are not eligible to participate in members-only drawings;
- NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES UNTIL AFTER THE SHOOTOUT;
- Shooters MUST be 16 years or older to participate in the shootout;
- ALL shooters MUST possess a valid CA hunting license and upland game bird stamp;
- ALL shooters MUST wear ORANGE VESTS or ORANGE HATS in the field, while hunting;
- ALL shooters MUST wear boots in the field, while hunting;
- Shotgun shells MUST contain non-lead shot (recommended shot size 3, 4, or 6);
- No magnum shotgun shells allowed (3 inch & 3 ½ inch shotgun shells are prohibited);
- No shotguns greater than 12 gauge allowed;
- SAFE ZONE OF FIRE – Shooters are limited to shot zone of 45 degrees (10 & 2 position);
- No shooter shall at anytime discharge his/her shotgun towards or over a roadway;
- All guns MUST remain unloaded when in staging / lunch / parking areas;
- Shooters may bring their own dogs, but dogs must be controlled by radio collars;
- Shooters shall make every reasonable effort to recover their wounded birds;
- MUST be 21 years or older to play poker;
- Every pheasant shot & retrieved, awards you a “River” card from the deck;
- No pheasants shot/retrieved – no “River” card for you – you just folded!
- The FINAL decision on who receive cards and who doesn’t is at the sole discretion of Sampson Outdoors.
