Halibut can be taken in the bay all year long, but the prime time for targeting them begins in late April and extends through the end of October.
Striped bass has been thriving in the waters along California since they were introduced from the East Coast in the 1870’s, and are a highly sought-after gamefish, due to their size and their fight.
